Product: Razer DeathAdder Essential Professional-Grade Gaming Mouse
How Long I've Had It: 8 Months.
Price I originally bought it for: Free Alongside Purchased Computer
What exactly I do with it: I use the Mouse for all computer-usage, from browsing the Web to Playing games, and everything else in-between,
The Razer DeathAdder Essential Gaming Mouse is an excellent example of simplicity, comfort, and aesthetic within a Gaming Mouse. As someone who doesn't need a Mouse with 9 buttons, 2 scroll-wheels, and a vast array of other functions, the simple design with the two extra side buttons has proved perfect for me. I remember getting the mouse and thinking, "I'll probably never use the side buttons.", as I had been used to a simple wireless mouse without them, but I had found myself using them for things such as Melee attacks and Callouts in Overwatch, things that were usually a pain to do on a keyboard.
On top of the functionality, the aesthetic of the mouse is great as well. The mouse comes with two basic settings within the Razer Synapse software, a pulsating green mode, and a setting that rotates through colors. Other color settings are available and programmable through Chroma App software, which is great, but for the sake of the review will be left out. Within the software that works with the mouse, it allows you to program Macros, track your stats for things such as how many clicks you do, even going as far to allow you to separate it by game (if that's something you like), and of course customize the buttons for whatever you want to use them for.
Overall the mouse is a really great step up from a normal mouse which I used prior, and ever for the steep retail price of $50-$60, you can find it on other sites for around $35, which is more than reasonable for the product it provides.
In conclusion, I give this product a 9/10, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for an effective mouse for all computer use.
